QR Code Generator

Create a QR code for a link, WiFi network, UPI payment, WhatsApp chat, phone number, email or plain text. Pick your colours and download a high-resolution PNG or SVG. These are static codes, so they work forever with no sign-up.

🔒 Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.

How to create a QR code

  1. Choose what the QR code should do: open a link, join WiFi, pay by UPI, start a WhatsApp chat and so on.
  2. Fill in the details. The preview updates instantly.
  3. Optionally change the colours. Keep the code dark on a light background so every camera can read it.
  4. Download as PNG for sharing and printing on paper, or SVG for designers and large prints such as banners.
  5. Test it with your phone camera before printing.

Static QR codes never expire

Many QR websites create "dynamic" codes that redirect through their server — and stop working when a free trial ends. The codes made here are static: the information is stored inside the pattern itself. They don't track scans, but they'll keep working for as long as the link or details inside them are valid.

QR code types explained

  • Link (URL): opens a website, menu, Google review page, YouTube video or social profile.
  • WiFi: guests scan to join your network without typing the password. Supported by the iPhone and Android cameras.
  • UPI: customers scan with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or any UPI app to pay your UPI ID. You can pre-fill an amount.
  • WhatsApp: opens a chat with your number, with an optional ready-typed message — great for shops and service businesses.
  • Phone and email: start a call or a pre-addressed email in one tap.

Printing tips

  • Print at least 2 × 2 cm for close scanning; bigger for posters (about one-tenth of the scanning distance).
  • Keep the white border (quiet zone) around the code.
  • Use High error correction if the code may get scratched or if you place a small logo over the centre.
  • Shorter content makes a simpler, easier-to-scan code.

Frequently asked questions

Are these QR codes free for commercial use?

Yes. Use them on menus, packaging, business cards and adverts at no cost. "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE, which allows free use of the technology.

Do the QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes with the data inside the pattern, so there is no server that can switch them off.

Can I track how many people scan my QR code?

Static codes can't count scans. Use a link with UTM parameters (for example ?utm_source=qr) and check visits in your analytics.

Why won't my QR code scan?

Usually low contrast, a code printed too small, or the quiet zone being cropped. Use a dark colour on a light background and print larger.
